Truth:

This may have been true in the past, but today’s children’s homes like Fathers Home Care Ministries focus on creating safe, nurturing, and joyful environments. We provide emotional support, education, play, and love helping children heal and grow into confident individuals.

Our home is filled with laughter, learning, and community who build a sense of Belonging.

Myth *2: “Children in Orphanages Don’t Have Families”

Truth:

Not all children in care are without living relatives. Some come from families facing poverty, broken home, abuse, or illness.

At Fathers Home Care Ministries, we work closely with families and social services where possible, and in every case, our goal is to provide stability, protection, and hope to children in need

Myth *3: “Orphanages Only Need Money”

Truth:

Financial support helps, but community involvement is just as powerful.

We need volunteers, mentors, teachers, and even people who simply visit and encourage the children. You don’t need to be wealthy to make a difference, you just need a caring heart and a hand to embrac.

Myth *4: “Kids Raised in Orphanages Don’t Succeed in Life”

Truth:

Children from homes like ours can and do succeed. With consistent support, education, and love, many of our children go on to complete school, find jobs, and even give back to the community.

As of now we have 72 graduate since 2017 who are in the job market and making impact for in life and the community.

At Fathers Home Care Ministries, we believe every child deserves a future  and we work daily to make that happen.

Myth *5: “Anyone Can Just Walk In and Adopt a Child”

Truth:

Child protection laws are strict — and rightfully so. We follow careful procedures guided by the government and the department of social welfare authorities. Taking the safety, emotional wellbeing, and long-term future of every child as our top priorities. Supporting a child doesn’t always mean adoption — it could mean sponsoring education, volunteering, or simply being a positive adult figure.

The history of Children’s homes or Orphanages have changed and so must the way we think about them. At Fathers Home Care Ministries, we work hard every day to provide not just shelter, but love, healing, and opportunity to children who need it most.

This Easter, something truly heartwarming happened. Amid the usual celebrations and the promise of new beginnings, a group of children from Father’s Home—a loving sanctuary for children in need—got a taste of pure, sun-drenched joy. With buckets in hand and hearts full of excitement, they headed to the beach for a day that would fill their memories for years to come.

For many of these children, the beach is not just a destination; it’s a dream. The salty breeze, the warmth of the sand beneath their feet, and the sound of waves crashing against the shore created a backdrop for something deeper than just fun—it was freedom, laughter, and healing.

The day was filled with games, swimming, sandcastle competitions, and of course, a few spontaneous dance parties under the sun. The parents watched with full hearts as the children ran, played, and explored with wide-eyed wonder. Some wrote messages of hope in the sand. Others simply laid back and watched the clouds drift by, soaking in the rare peace that the ocean brings.

This Easter outing wasn’t just about a trip to the beach—it was a reminder that joy is powerful, and that every child, no matter their background, deserves a chance to just be a kid.

The staff at Father’s Home continues to do incredible work, creating safe, nurturing spaces for children to grow, heal, and dream. Outings like these are made possible by the kindness of donors, volunteers, and the community that surrounds them. And every smile captured on that beach was a testament to what love, when shared, can accomplish.
